CDMX 2025 Marathon Transportation Schedules for This Sunday

The XLII Mexico City Marathon is set to take place on Sunday, August 31, starting at the Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitución) and finishing at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario. To accommodate runners and spectators, some transportation methods will have schedule adjustments and line modifications.

The Metro System will begin operating at 05:00 hours, only on Lines 1, 2, 3, and 9. Line 1 will operate from 5:00 to 14:00 hours, with modified service hours, and will service stations from Indios Verdes to Plaza de la República and from El Caminero to Corregidora. Line 2 will operate from 5:00 to 11:00 hours, with modified service hours, and will service stations from Tepalcates to Etiopía. Line 3 will operate from 5:00 to 14:00 hours, with modified service hours, and will service stations from Museo de Transportes Eléctricos to Metro Zapata (Juan Sánchez Azcona) and from Tenayuca to Buenavista and from Santa Cruz Atoyac to Cuauhtémoc. Line 7 will operate from Periférico Oriente to Glorieta de M.A. de Quevedo and from Indios Verdes to Hospital Infantil and from La Villa to Glorieta de Cuitláhuac. Line 5 will operate from San Felipe de Jesús to Glorieta de Cuitláhuac. Line 6 will operate from Metro el Rosario to Av. Presidente Masaryk.

In addition to the Metro lines, the Electric Transport Trolleybus Network will also have adjustments from 05:00 hours until the end of the marathon. Line 1 will operate from Central del Norte to Santa Veracruz (Teatro Blanquita) and from Dr. Pascua to Central del Sur Taxquena. Line 2 will operate from Av. Insurgentes (Yucatán) to Metro Pantitlán. Line 6 will operate from Metro el Rosario to Av. Presidente Masaryk. Line 7 will operate from Periférico Oriente to Glorieta de M.A. de Quevedo. Line 5 will operate from San Felipe de Jesús to Glorieta de Cuitláhuac.

Special transportation for runners will be available from various points in the city to the Marathon, including Perisur to Ciudad Universitaria, Indios Verdes to Ciudad Universitaria, San Antonio to Ciudad Universitaria, Izazaga to Perisur, Foro Sol (Palacio de los Deportes) to Perisur, and Narvarte to Perisur between the hours of 03:00 to 08:00.

Please note that some stations on various Metrobús lines will not be in service during the marathon. These include Villa Olímpica to Reforma, Terminal Buenavista, Indios Verdes to Santa Cruz Atoyac, Amores to Tacubaya, Nuevo León to Colonia del Valle, from Rojo Gómez to Doctor Galvez, Mina to Balderas, Terminal Buenavista II, Buenavista to Bellas Artes, the South Route from San Lázaro to San Pablo, as well as from Buenavista to Pino Suárez, Garibaldi to Campo Marte, and from Tacubaya to París.
