Caught in the Act: Perfume Thief Nabbed for Stealing Cosmetic Items - Arrest Made
The Bielefeld Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a person of German nationality, who is suspected of being involved in three theft cases. This individual has links to the Gütersloh police and is currently wanted by the Bielefeld authorities.
The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, is believed to have committed thefts in pharmacies and stores, including the theft of six bottles of whiskey. Each of the three cases involves a drugstore, with one case involving insults and another involving coercion.
Recently, a 21-year-old drug addict, with no fixed address, was arrested by the Bielefeld Police for shoplifting cosmetics worth approximately 400 Euros from a drugstore on Bahnhofstraße. The offender admitted to using the stolen goods to fund her drug addiction.
The arrest took place after the employee and another employee stopped the thief outside the store and informed the police. It is currently being investigated whether the offender is also suspected of another theft that occurred on Monday in the same store.
The offender was transferred to Gütersloh on Wednesday to serve the warrant issued by the Gütersloh District Court, where the offender has a history with the police, having been wanted for theft in three cases.
