Catford Mews Introduces Their Inaugural Brew, Named Catford Mews Scratch IPA

New Craft Beer Launch at Catford Mews

Catford Mews is set to unveil its first beer, the Scratch IPA, on March 25. This amber-glowed brew, with its sweet toffee undertones, boasts a well-balanced flavor and is on the hoppier side of bitterness, reminiscent of a traditional IPA.

The Scratch IPA was produced in collaboration with Brockley Brewery, using local ingredients. It was dry-hopped with two American varieties, adding earthy and thirst-quenching citrus notes to its refreshingly clean bitterness, and featuring a fruity flavor with a hint of blackcurrant.

The launch party will take place at Catford Mews, although the specific location is yet to be disclosed. Guests can expect live music, free beer for the first 25 Catford Mews members, and special prices on the new beer all night. To add to the festivities, there will be various food stalls, including Daun's Deli, Patty Man, and FUSE_.

For those planning to attend, several buses run to Catford Mews, including the 185, 202, 75, 47, 136, 54, 199, 208, 171, 320, 124, 284, 160, 181, and 336. The closest train stations are Catford and Catford Bridge Station.

However, information on how to become a Catford Mews member is not currently available.

The Scratch IPA will be available on tap only, with a limited amount also available at the Brockley taproom. This new beer is sure to be a hit among craft beer enthusiasts, so mark your calendars for March 25 and get ready to enjoy the unique flavors of Catford Mews' Scratch IPA.
