Cat underwent vicious dog assault, leaves two bystanders hurt
In the quiet neighbourhood of Viehausen, an unfortunate incident occurred on the evening of 7 PM. A dog, whose owner remains unidentified, attacked a cat, leading to a series of events that left several people injured and the cat dead.
The incident took place on a property located at Am Hartfeld. Witnesses report that the dog, which was not on a leash, launched an unexpected attack on the cat. The cat's owners, in a desperate attempt to intervene, were also injured during the altercation.
Sadly, the cat did not survive the attack and died shortly after. Both of the cat's owners required immediate medical treatment following the incident. The other cat's owner, while injured, sustained only light wounds. The dog owner, too, was injured during the intervention.
The investigation into the incident is being handled by PI Nittendorf/TR. As a result, an investigation against the dog owner has been initiated. The owner in question is a 30-year-old resident from the southern district.
