Voting in Düsseldorf is a straightforward process, with several options available for eligible citizens. Here's a guide to help you navigate the voting process.

The direct voting office for Düsseldorf residents is located at Mecumstraße 10. For those with exceptional walking difficulties, designated parking spaces are available at the back of the building, accessible from Gurlittstraße. Parking is also available at Brinckmannstraße 5 and the Volksgarten, but space is limited.

The Statistics and Elections Office, where the direct voting office is located, recommends using public transportation to reach the office. Unfortunately, specific public transportation recommendations from the election organization office to reach the direct voting location in Düsseldorf were not available. However, further information can be found on the city's website at www.duesseldorf.de/bundestagswahl or by contacting the office directly at 0211-8993368.

If you have not yet received a voting notice, it's important to contact the Statistics and Elections Office at 0211-8993368. As of now, 128,904 Düsseldorf residents have already applied for postal voting. The first postal voting documents have been handed over to the post office.

To vote, individuals must bring their voting notice and an identification document (personal ID or passport). The vote should be cast at the polling station on election day or the direct voting office at the Statistics and Elections Office should be used in advance. Voting can be done immediately at the election office without an appointment.

The red voting envelope should be returned to the Statistics and Elections Office letterbox by 6 pm on election day at the latest. For those who wish to post their vote, the postage of the red voting envelope is free of charge as a standard letter within the area of Deutsche Post AG. However, it's important to note that late arriving voting letters cannot be considered in the election. The red voting envelope should be returned to the Statistics and Elections Office no later than February 19.

The office is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm. For those who may have difficulty accessing the office during these hours, the parking spaces on Gurlittstraße may provide a convenient solution.
