Casinos Austria backs Mörbisch Lake Festival with 'La Cage aux Folles' in 2026
Casinos Austria has announced a new partnership with the Mörbisch Lake Festival. The collaboration aims to support cultural events while offering unique perks for festival attendees. Both organisations will focus on enhancing entertainment and audience engagement.
The centrepiece of this partnership is the production of the musical *'La Cage aux Folles'* (*'Ein Käfig voller Narren'*), set to premiere in 2026.
The deal forms part of Casinos Austria's long-term cultural sponsorship programme. The company has committed to backing artistic projects across the country, ensuring wider public access to high-quality performances. Erwin van Lambaart, CEO of Casinos Austria, stressed the importance of cultural investment, calling it a key way to create social value in Austria.
Alfons Haider, artistic director of the Mörbisch Lake Festival, noted the shared vision between the two partners. Both prioritise delivering memorable experiences for audiences, blending entertainment with artistic excellence. While no performances of *'La Cage aux Folles'* are scheduled for 2024, the musical will run from **16 July to 22 August 2026**. The premiere takes place on **16 July 2026**, with an additional show on **12 August 2026**. Festival-goers can also expect special benefits: every **13th ticket** booked by phone on the **13th of April, May, June, or July** will include an invitation to a casino. During intermissions, Casinos Austria will provide a complimentary drink. On **13 August 2026**, guests seated in the **13th row** will receive a free programme booklet and a casino invitation, adding extra appeal to the event.
