In the heart of the Austrian Alps, the FAT International Ice Race played host to an electrifying fusion of speed, style, and innovation, as Polestar made its mark with the unveiling of the Polestar Electric Garage.

Creating a venue for the race within a short timeframe proved to be a challenging yet inspiring task for Polestar's architects and designers. The Electric Garage, a hub for experiencing electric mobility, featured high-tech racing simulators, bespoke racing helmet painting, and a futuristic look and feel. The goal was to make Polestar stand out amidst the adrenaline-fuelled chaos of the race.

The real action at the FAT International Ice Race is trackside, where four-wheeled vehicles with heavily spiked wheels race in a controlled, exhilarating spectacle. However, away from the ice, Polestar brought its unique take on racing culture to the paddock.

The centerpiece of the Polestar Electric Garage was an elevated Polestar 5, a four-door Grand Tourer set to become Polestar's most powerful car to date. Available to customers later this year, the Polestar 5 was a testament to the brand's commitment to sustainable performance.

Polestar's showrooms, known for their visual beauty, were created by architects and designers who spent years finding, sculpting, and refining the perfect environments. This expertise was evident in the Electric Garage, which offered a blend of functionality and aesthetics that captivated visitors.

The FAT International Ice Race offered a variety of "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" activities, including flying bulls, helicopter rides, and special VIP paddocks. Swimming superstar and Polestar Ambassador Sarah Sjostrom enjoyed her hot lap with Thed Bjork at the race, expressing enthusiasm for the experience. Bjork, one of Sweden's greatest ever racing drivers, has a history with Polestar, having driven for Cyan Racing before Polestar's inception.

Shana Claessens, a Belgian racing driver, reflected on the similarities between driving a Polestar and her own driving experiences. Meanwhile, Sergio Marques found home wherever his Polestar took him, and for one weekend in late February, his home was Jokkmokk-reindeer and Northern Lights territory.

Polestar showcased the Arctic Circle collection, a one-of-a-kind show cars lifted, wearing specialized ice racing tyres, and given distinctive white and yellow coats. The Electric Garage was not just about showcasing cars, but creating a movement and crafting thought-provoking, hands-on moments. As Dan Persson, Polestar's Strategic Creative Director, explained, "It's about more than just showcasing cars. It's about creating a movement and crafting thought-provoking, hands-on moments."

Looking ahead, Polestar is set to participate in the Mille Miglia, a race and fashion parade, in 2025. The event, unlike anything you've ever seen, promises to be another exciting chapter in Polestar's racing journey. Fredrik Ekblom, a racing driver for Cyan Racing and contributor to the founding of Polestar, will no doubt be watching with anticipation.
