In the picturesque town of Neuwied, the summer holidays have been a whirlwind of excitement and education for the local youth. From the bustling Bauspielplatz to the serene Cévennes National Park in southern France, young minds have been engaged in a variety of activities that cater to their diverse interests.

At the Bauspielplatz, children had the opportunity to don their safety helmets and aprons, and delve into the world of construction. Hammering, sawing, and constructing were the order of the day, with a culinary special action led by the Gesellschaft zur Förderung beruflicher Integration (GFBI).

The Foodtrailer Neuwied made a surprise visit to the Bauspielplatz, and the children assisted in the mobile kitchen, preparing and serving delicious meals. It was a hands-on experience that not only taught them practical skills but also fostered a sense of community and teamwork.

Meanwhile, the Mobile Waldschulheim, designed by the organization "Naturschule Rheinland-Pfalz," offered a unique opportunity for children to learn about local wildlife. The mobile forest school, in partnership with the State Hunting Association RLP and the Beekeeping Association Heimbach-Weis, provided fascinating insights into the intricacies of the natural world.

The "Colorful Summer Box" program at the Big House was another popular event, offering 40 participating children a fun and varied schedule. Activities ranged from a blindfolded obstacle course, designed to test their agility and problem-solving skills, to house cinema screenings that provided a relaxing and entertaining break. The visibly good spirits of the young participants were a testament to the program's success.

For those seeking more adventure, a youth activity holiday in the southern French Cévennes National Park offered thrilling jumps into the cool water, strenuous climbing tours, and breathtaking views. The program was filled with exciting excursions, including visits to the Senckenberg Natural History Museum and the Rheinböllen Zoo, as part of the "Wild Vacation" program.

In another corner of France, the youth of Neuwied participated in the Olympic in Feldkirchen, where a crate climbing event was held. Back in Neuwied, the State School for the Blind hosted the "Wild Vacation" program, offering 80 children a variety of group games, movement, and creative activities.

Lastly, the State School for the Blind in Feldkirchen hosted an inclusive Olympic Games vacation program. The children made their own medals and designed countries to compete in, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie.

These summer holidays have been a testament to the rich and diverse opportunities available to Neuwied's youth. From construction to wildlife, adventure to education, the experiences have been as varied as they have been enriching. As the summer comes to a close, the memories made and lessons learned will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
