Car Driver Exits Vehicle Alongside Highway (POL-EU)

A single-vehicle accident occurred on the connecting road from Hellenthal-Oberreiferscheid towards the L17 road in Hellenthal-Hahnenberg on May 22nd at 7:30 AM. According to the Euskirchen Police Headquarters, the driver involved in the accident was a 19-year-old from Schleiden.

The young driver was traveling in a passenger car when the vehicle collided with a tree in a wooded area. The accident was reportedly caused by the driver being startled by a crossing animal, but no collision with the animal occurred.

As a result of the accident, the driver sustained injuries and an ambulance was called to take them to the hospital for treatment.
