Car crash in Dusseldorf's Flingern-Süd neighborhood leaves two individuals hurt after vehicle slams into an advertising pole
In the heart of Flingern South, a significant incident occurred on Wednesday, February 26, at approximately 15:43. A car collided with an advertising mast, causing a traffic disruption at the intersection of Werdener and Erkrather Street.
The accident resulted in severe injuries for the vehicle's two occupants. The fire department was swiftly on the scene, employing hydraulic equipment to carefully open both sides of the car and ensure the safe removal of the injured passengers.
The emergency physician on site requested a gentle rescue operation due to the fragile condition of the patients. Thankfully, no other road users were involved in the accident, according to current information.
The advertising mast, adorned with a neon sign and clock display, sustained severe damage in the impact. The structure threatened to topple over, necessitating the immediate attention of the fire department, who secured the mast during the rescue operations.
Subsequently, the damaged advertising mast was dismantled. The injured passengers were then transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
The cause of the car accident remains unknown at this time. The police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading up to the incident.
