Car collision on A4 highway
On the night of September 8th, a tragic collision occurred on the federal motorway A4 near Junkersdorf. A Volkswagen Fox and a truck were involved in the accident, which took place around midnight as the Volkswagen was heading towards Olpe, near the West motorway interchange.
The Volkswagen was occupied by four young men aged 26 to 28. However, none of them admitted to being the driver at the time of the accident, leaving the authorities in a quandary.
Investigations by the Traffic Commission 1 have revealed that two potential drivers of the Volkswagen Fox were suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Two suspects from the Volkswagen admitted to consuming laughing gas and cannabis before the journey. Additionally, two suspects tested positive for breath alcohol.
During the accident investigation, a strong smell of alcohol was noticed coming from the Volkswagen Fox. Blood samples were ordered from both suspects to confirm the initial findings.
It is also worth noting that one of the suspects does not possess a valid driver's license.
The Traffic Commission 1 is currently examining who was driving the Volkswagen Fox at the time of the collision. The ongoing investigation aims to shed light on this crucial aspect of the accident.
