In a tragic turn of events, a head-on collision occurred between a black VW Polo and a Volvo XC 90 on the B486 between Langen and the A5 on Saturday evening at around 6:10 PM.
The accident resulted in severe injuries for the 19-year-old driver of the VW Polo, who was taken to a hospital. The two occupants of the Volvo suffered slight injuries. Both vehicles were thrown against the guardrails by the force of the impact, and unfortunately, both the VW Polo and the Volvo were declared total losses.

The B486 was fully closed in both directions for several hours due to the accident investigation. The police are working diligently to gather more information about the accident and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
