Car Accident Leads to Injuries for Politician and Passenger near EU Region
On the evening of September 7, a traffic accident involving a motorcycle occurred on the L497 road in Bad Münstereifel-Lanzerath. The accident took place at around 7:40 p.m., and it was a hit-and-run incident.
According to the Circles Police Department Euskirchen, a blue compact car was driving in the middle of its lane in a left curve, causing a motorcyclist and his passenger to swerve right to avoid a collision. Unfortunately, they ended up in the adjacent ditch, and both individuals sustained injuries. The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old from Euskirchen, and his passenger, a 25-year-old individual, fell off the motorcycle during the accident.
The driver of the car involved in the accident fled the scene, and no information about the vehicle has been provided. Witnesses with information about the fleeing vehicle are asked to contact the Euskirchen police.
