Car Accident in Leichlingen Involving Quad, Two Individuals Sustaining Injuries (Polish-Russian)
Last night, at around 18:40, a quad accident took place on the L 294 in the Leichlingen district of Witzhelden. The incident involved a quad with a driver aged 43 from Leichlingen and a passenger aged 39 from the same town.
According to Polizei Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis, transmitted via news aktuell, the driver was traveling on a straight stretch of the L 294 when, for unknown reasons, the quad suddenly veered off the road. The quad overturned, veering onto the opposite lane and then onto a sidewalk before ending up in an adjacent field.
As a result of the accident, both the driver and the passenger were thrown off the quad. The driver sustained serious injuries, while the passenger sustained minor injuries. The quad, however, was not damaged in the accident.
An eyewitness, driving a car on the L 294 towards Metzholz at the time of the accident, observed the quad leaving the road without any apparent cause. The name of this eyewitness is not publicly available.
Following the accident, both the driver and the passenger were taken to a hospital for treatment. The 43-year-old driver was admitted for further treatment. A friend of the driver picked up the quad later that evening.
