In the heart of Hagen, Germany, a traffic accident occurred on Friday evening at 21:40, as reported by Police Hagen and transmitted via news aktuell. The incident took place on Iserlohner Straße, near the junction with Georg-Scheer-Straße.
The novice driver, a resident of Hohenlimburg, was behind the wheel of a VW Polo at the time of the accident. Despite having held a driver's license for just 107 days, the driver failed to notice a stationary Peugeot indicating to turn left into the Georg-Scheer-Straße. In an attempt to evade the Peugeot, the novice driver collided with several parked cars on the side of the road.
The collision resulted in the novice driver losing control of his vehicle, causing it to spin around twice. Six cars were damaged in total, with two becoming no longer roadworthy and needing to be towed away.
Fortunately, the driver of the Peugeot was uninjured in the accident. Witnesses at the scene treated the novice driver before he was taken to a hospital in Iserlohn by ambulance. The novice driver sustained minor injuries to his head and shoulder.
The estimated property damage caused by the accident is in the higher five-figure range, according to the police's initial assessment.
