Cannstatter Volksfest’s secret lounges redefine festival luxury with quirky twists

The Cannstatter Volksfest is drawing attention with its exclusive lounges and hidden party spots. Some areas now offer extended opening hours, while others feature quirky designs and high-end drinks. Among them, the Spitzbuben Lodge stands out for its secret rooms and record-breaking sales.

Inside the Dinkelacker tent, the Taos Lodge surprises guests with ice cubes falling from the ceiling onto water bottles. A hidden door, triggered by pressing a spot on the bottle wall, leads to a secret room. This space is decorated with a red sofa and walls covered in Asterix and Obelix comic wallpaper.

Elsewhere, the Spitzbuben Lodge in the annex tent operates with its own entrance and toilets. It sells hundreds of champagne bottles daily, with prices ranging from €120 to €800. Nearby, Michael Wilhelmer’s 'equipe lodge' in the Schwabenwelt serves champagne with fire fountains and grand announcements.

The Almhütte Royal, hosted by Nina Renoldi, features the Club Royal on its balcony. Known for the Wasengaudi party, the area has a ski hut theme, complete with waiters in ski goggles. Meanwhile, the Schatzibar in the same tent attracts a younger crowd with house music and a club-like vibe.

Extended hours apply to these exclusive zones. On Sundays to Thursdays, they stay open until midnight, while Fridays and Saturdays see them close at 1:00 AM.

The Volksfest’s lodges and hidden bars are proving popular, blending luxury with playful touches. Extended opening times and unique designs keep visitors returning, even on quieter days. The Taos Lodge, Spitzbuben Lodge, and Club Royal remain key highlights of this year’s event.
