Cancer Fatigue: The Role of Qigong as a Supportive Approach
On the 9th of September, a fascinating event is scheduled to take place at the County Clinics in the Herford district, Germany. The Cancer Advisory Center of the Herford district and the Herford-Bunde County Clinics are hosting this free event, aimed at anyone interested in learning more about managing fatigue related to cancer using Qigong.
The topic of the event, titled "Fatigue (Exhaustion) in Cancer and How Qigong Can Help", will be discussed by two esteemed professionals: Dr. med. Annette Walter and Regina Wiedemann.
Dr. med. Annette Walter, Senior Physician, Section Head Neuroimmunology, Neurooncology, Neuropalliative Care, will share her insights on the subject. Regina Wiedemann, a certified Zhineng Qigong and Meditation instructor, will explain the practical aspects of Qigong and how it can help those experiencing fatigue, particularly those affected by cancer.
Qigong is a Chinese meditation, concentration, and movement practice that combines gentle, flowing movements with breathing exercises and meditation. By cultivating life energy (Qi) and harmonizing the body and mind, Qigong can provide a holistic approach to addressing fatigue, which differs from ordinary tiredness as it does not disappear even after sufficient sleep and can significantly impact the daily life of those affected.
In this context, fatigue is a persistent, extreme tiredness and exhaustion that can occur in connection with a cancer diagnosis.
The event will take place in Conference Rooms 1 and 2 of the County Clinics (Klinikum Herford, Schwarzenmoorstraße 70) at 5 PM. Registration for the event is required, and you can do so by contacting the Cancer Advisory Center at Tel. 05223 6530390 or via email at canceradvisorycenter@ourwebsite.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn about a potential solution to fatigue related to cancer. Join us on the 9th of September at 5 PM at the County Clinics in the Herford district, Germany.
