Caesars Entertainment expands into Alberta's online gambling market by 2026
Caesars Entertainment is preparing to enter Alberta's regulated online gambling market. The company has applied for an operator's licence and opened pre-registration for three new platforms. These include Caesars Palace Online Casino, Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, and Horseshoe Online Casino.
The launch is scheduled for mid-2026, once Alberta's regulated iGaming market officially opens. Residents can now pre-register to receive launch updates and download the apps in advance. Alberta will then appear as a selectable region once the market goes live.
Caesars' strategy focuses on offering a mix of digital experiences. The Palace and Horseshoe apps will feature slots, table games, and live dealer content, designed for easy and engaging play. The Sportsbook & Casino app will combine online sports betting with casino wagering. Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, called the trio of apps a 'trifecta' that drove record annual revenue of $1.41 billion in 2025. He also thanked the Alberta iGaming Corporation for supporting operators and welcomed the province's move toward regulation. Once operational, Alberta will become the sixth North American jurisdiction where Caesars offers online casino and sports betting services.
The pre-registration phase is now underway, allowing Albertans to prepare for the 2026 launch. Caesars' three platforms will each provide distinct gaming options, from slots and live dealers to sports wagering. The expansion marks another step in the company's growth across regulated North American markets.
