Caesars Entertainment debuts its first in-house slot game in New Jersey
Caesars Entertainment has launched its first in-house slot game, Ca$hline, in New Jersey. The move marks a new direction for the company as it expands its own game development. This follows the creation of Empire Creative, a dedicated studio set up in early 2025 to build premium gaming content.
The three-reel stepper slot, Ca$hline, is now live on Caesars' online platforms in New Jersey. Players can bet on one, two, or all three reels, with bigger prizes for activating more. The game's design focuses on player choice and fresh mechanics, according to Matthew Sunderland, Senior Vice President and Chief iGaming Officer at Caesars Digital.
Before Ca$hline, Empire Creative released Caesars Palace Signature Multihand Blackjack Surrender in May 2025. Since its launch, the studio has developed three more titles. Plans are now in place to roll out Ca$hline in Michigan, Ontario, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Caesars' push into in-house development aligns with a broader industry trend. Companies like Flutter's Sky Betting and Gaming Studios and Entain have also built their own studios. By creating games internally, Caesars can tailor content to its players while reinforcing its brand identity.
The strategy appears to be paying off. Caesars Digital reported a 21.1% rise in net revenue to $1.41bn in 2025, with adjusted EBITDA more than doubling to $236m. The expansion of in-house games is set to continue across more markets in the coming months.
