Bystander intervenes amidst hateful remarks towards women due to xenophobia

A young man, whose identity remains unconfirmed, witnessed a disturbing scene as two female walkers were subjected to offensive, racist remarks by a man and a woman, who were also sitting on a park bench.

The two victims, similarly unidentified, were racially insulted and, according to reports, were left shaken by the incident. The young man bravely intervened, but the situation escalated when the man allegedly threatened him with violence.

The suspects, however, were not physically apprehended by the police. Instead, they agreed to voluntary breathalyzer tests, the results of which indicated that they were over the legal limit, blowing over two promille. The identities of the two women and the young man remain unknown.

The case is being investigated by a specialist commissioner from the State Protection Police of the Berlin State Criminal Police Office.
