Bust your way through the barrier to access the Automated Teller Machine
In the quiet night of September 1st, an attempted break-in at a Self-Service (SB) branch in Cologne-Sülz went awry. The incident occurred between 11 PM and 1 AM, with the money machine, located in the rooms of an adjacent medical practice on Heimerskeiler Straße, being the target.
Unknown individuals managed to gain access to the medical practice by bending open a window grating facing Heimerskeiler Straße and prying open the window. Once inside, they drilled through the wall behind the money machine in an attempt to access the safe. However, despite their efforts, they were unsuccessful in gaining entry.
The safe, located behind the money machine, remained secure. The identity of the individuals involved in this attempted break-in remains undisclosed. The Kriminalkommissariat 71 is currently investigating the incident and is accepting tips from the public.
