Bus Brawl Results in Two People Sustaining Injuries
In an unfortunate incident, an altercation on a public bus in Recklinghausen left two men injured. The incident took place on Friday evening at the bus stop "Rome Street" on Berg Street.
According to the Police Headquarters Recklinghausen, three juveniles verbally insulted the bus driver around 8 p.m., leading to an argument and a scuffle. During the scuffle, two more juveniles punched the bus driver and the inspector.
The injured men were identified as a 36-year-old bus driver and a 37-year-old inspector. The two juveniles who did not flee the scene are 17-year-olds from Marl. Unfortunately, the identities of the fleeing juveniles are yet to be determined.
The police are urging witnesses who can provide further information about the incident or suspects to call 0800/2361 111. They are also asking for the public's help in identifying the fleeing juveniles.
Recordings from the bus are being evaluated by the police as part of their ongoing investigations. No specific suspects have been identified in relation to the incident at the "Rome Street" bus stop on the Bergstraße.
