Burglary suspects apprehended in Duesseldorf, the duo in question are women.
In the quiet Oberkassel neighbourhood, a dramatic turn of events unfolded on Saturday, 15th March, as police apprehended two individuals suspected of being involved in a series of attempted burglaries in the nearby Eller area.
The arrests came following a tip-off received by the police on Friday afternoon, 14th March, regarding suspicious activities in the Eller area. The officers, acting swiftly, observed two suspects illegally entering a residence on Kyffhäuserstraße in Oberkassel at around 15:10 on Friday.
The suspects, a 15-year-old minor and a 21-year-old, were identified as the individuals involved in the attempted burglaries in the Eller area. Both individuals do not have a fixed address.
The police investigation led to the arrest of the suspects, with the assistance of local officers. The duo was brought before a judge on Saturday and ordered into pretrial detention.
The suspects are yet to be formally charged, but each attempt at burglary involved two women as suspects. A resident confirmed to the police that he had seen two people outside his apartment door who fled after he approached them.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident on August 8, 2025, two women suspected of attempting multiple burglaries in the Eller area were caught after a dramatic chase involving a neighbour, a bus driver, and the police. The 18-year-old and 19-year-old women, who are not related to the arrested suspects, were apprehended following their attempted burglary of a residence in Düsseldorf-Eller.
