Burglar Fails upon Attempting Three Home Break-ins in Griedel; Valuable Jewelry Stolen, Single-Family Home Searched, Election Poster Set Ablaze, and a Bicycle Owner Reported Missing

In the past week, several incidents of burglary and vandalism have been reported across various towns in the Mittelhessen region. The Friedberg Criminal Police is currently investigating these cases and is seeking information from the public.

On Feldpreul street, Ober-Rosbach, burglars forced open a window and searched the entire house, making off with cash and jewelry. The incident occurred sometime between January 27th and February 1st. Witnesses with information are asked to contact the Friedberg Criminal Police at 06031 6010.

In a similar incident, thieves damaged the terrace door of a single-family house in Ober-Rosbacher Taunusstraße between January 25th and February 1st, at 16:05. The perpetrators entered the house and stole a laptop.

Between January 31st, 2025, at 18:30 and February 1st, at 15:30, burglars forced open an access door to a ground-floor apartment in a residential building in Am Kisselberg street, Nidda, and stole jewelry, among other items.

In Butzbach, unknown persons attempted to force their way into a single-family house in Am Römerwall street on February 1st, between 09:00 and 18:00. The perpetrators tampered with two terrace doors on the building's rear side but did not gain access.

In Rommelhausen, burglars stole various pieces of jewelry from an apartment in a multi-family house in Carlstraße between 18:30 and 21:00 on January 31st, 2025. Witnesses are asked to contact the Friedberg Criminal Police at 06031 6010.

On January 31st, 2025, around 23:45, unknown persons set fire to an SPD election poster in Bad Vilbel, attached to a street lamp in the Samlandweg. The state protection department of the police is investigating, and witnesses who can provide information about the perpetrators are asked to contact the police in Bad Vilbel at 06101 54600.

Between February 1st, 2025, at 17:00 and February 2nd, 2025, at 07:00, three break-ins occurred in Wingertstraße, Griedel. No information about stolen items has been disclosed yet. Witnesses can contact the Friedberg Criminal Police at 06031 6010.

On Monday, January 27th, 2025, a TREK mountain bike was left behind during an attempted theft from a VW Touareg in Bisseser Straße, Echzell. The police in Friedberg are seeking the owner of the bicycle (contact number: 06031 6010).

On February 1st, 2025, an unknown person scratched the hood of a grey VW Multivan in a courtyard on the Hauptstraße in Bad Nauheim between 11:00 and 15:00.

In Bad Vilbel, on the Gronauer Weg, burglars attempted to gain entry to an apartment in a multi-family home between January 24th and January 31st, at 16:40, but failed to do so. The Kripo Friedberg requests witnesses for the incident in Bad Vilbel to call 06031 6010.
