Heed, St. Pauli! - Bundesliga teams eager to sign Saad

The rapid ascension of Saad from Eintracht Norderstedt in the 4th division to St. Pauli in December 2022, and now his promotion to the Bundesliga, hasn't gone unnoticed. Saad has managed to score eleven goals in 41 competitive games for St. Pauli thus far.

Several clubs are said to be keeping tabs on this talented player. Some of these interested parties are rumored to be based in Germany and beyond.

Which teams are allegedly interested in Saad

In the Bundesliga, fussballtransfers.com singles out Union Berlin as one of the clubs reportedly targeting Saad. Union Berlin managed to escape relegation on the final game day. Other German clubs are also thought to be eyeing Saad.

Spanish side FC Getafe, who recently finished in 12th place in La Liga, is believed to be most keen on him. FC Getafe could make a move for Saad, as they look to strengthen their squad. Meanwhile, scouts from Southampton FC were also spotted at the Millerntor. Southampton FC is locked in a battle against Leeds United on Sunday to avoid dropping into the Premier League's drop zone.

While many clubs eye Saad, St. Pauli is unlikely to part ways with their star. However, there may be a price at which they'd consider selling him.

If we look at Saad's current contract that runs till 2026, this price would likely be quite high. When Saad joined Norderstedt, he came with a fee of 100,000 euros. His market value has since shot up to 3 million euros - a 30x increase.

A potential suitor would need to cough up millions to convince St. Pauli into letting Saad go.
