MC-Bauchemie and SwissChem Form Joint Venture in Egypt

MC-Bauchemie, a global leader in building chemicals and technologies, has formed a joint venture with SwissChem, a reliable medium-sized partner in the Egyptian construction sector. The strategic alliance aims to bring together two family-owned companies that share common values such as quality, innovation, technological leadership, and sustainable partnerships.

The joint venture, named MC-Bauchemie Construction Chemicals, began operations in April 2025. SwissChem, with over 40 years of experience in the Egyptian market, brings its established market relationships to the table, while MC-Bauchemie, founded over 60 years ago and employing more than 3000 people in over 40 countries, contributes its extensive product range and international production standards.

SwissChem is renowned for its high-quality concrete admixtures, sealing solutions, grouting and anchoring products, and floor systems. By joining forces with MC-Bauchemie, SwissChem gains direct access to the latter's state-of-the-art research and development resources. In return, MC-Bauchemie benefits from SwissChem's close cooperation with customers, technical excellence, and commitment to long-term partnerships.

The transition to the MC-Bauchemie brand in Egypt is marked by co-branding on locally produced and distributed products. This move is expected to strengthen MC-Bauchemie's regional presence and increase its production capacities. The joint venture also aims to improve operational performance in Egypt and the entire region.

SwissChem currently employs 120 people at three locations in Egypt. With the joint venture, it is hoped that this number will grow, further strengthening the company's position in the Egyptian construction sector. The report of this strategic move was featured in Allgemeine Bauzeitung 36/2025.

MC-Bauchemie and SwissChem are committed to maintaining the high standards they are known for. They aim to continue delivering quality products and services, fostering innovation, and promoting sustainable partnerships in the Egyptian construction industry.
