The single run for the Guardians was scored in the opening frame, with Yu Chang getting an RBI. The game lasted a total of two hours and nine minutes, making it the shortest game of the season so far.

David Buchanan's stellar performance culminated in his first complete-game CPBL victory in the Taipei Dome. The American pitcher ended the game with a strikeout of Tseng Sung-en on a fastball in the ninth frame, securing the win for the Guardians. Buchanan's achievement was further celebrated as he was awarded the Most Valuable Player award for the first time.
