BTS announces epic Seoul comeback concert with record-breaking live stream

BTS will perform a major comeback concert in Seoul's Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. The event, titled BTS Comeback Live: Arirang, is expected to draw over 30,000 seated fans, with up to 200,000 spectators in total. Renowned director Hamish Hamilton, known for high-profile broadcasts like the Super Bowl and Oscars, will oversee the production.

The concert marks one of the largest live music events ever held in Gwanghwamun Square. Previous K-pop performances, such as the October 2023 show featuring NewJeans and IVE, attracted around 100,000 attendees. BTS's upcoming event, however, could double that number, pending final approval from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korea Heritage Service.

Fans worldwide will be able to watch the performance live, as it streams across more than 190 countries. The show will also feature large-scale video projections on the Gwanghwamun wall and real-time broadcasts on electronic billboards. Following the concert, Netflix will release *BTS: The Return*, a documentary film on March 27. The film will explore the making of the group's new album, *Arirang*, and offer a behind-the-scenes look at their creative process. Hamish Hamilton brings extensive experience to the project. He has directed the Super Bowl halftime show eight times between 2010 and 2018, along with major award ceremonies like the Academy Awards, Grammys, and Primetime Emmys.

The concert will take place at 8 p.m. on March 21, with global streaming and a Netflix documentary to follow. If approved, the event could set a new attendance record for live music in Gwanghwamun Square. Fans will see a mix of cutting-edge visuals and live performances as part of BTS's highly anticipated comeback.
