BPOLI EBB Update: Stranded Migrants Rescued
On the evening of August 25, 2025, the Federal Police (Bundespolizei) made an arrest at the train station in Bautzen, Germany. A group of six Afghans, aged between 16 and 26, were apprehended without valid residence documents.
The arrest took place at approximately 21:54, as reported by the Federal Police Inspectorate Ebersbach. The men had to leave the train in Bautzen, having purchased tickets to Dresden at the GΓΆrlitz station, but these were invalid due to the lack of personal documents.
The Federal Police Inspectorate Ebersbach is handling further investigations and inquiries, and the press spokesperson for the organisation is Alfred Klaner. He can be contacted via email at [email protected] or by phone at +49 3521 234-5678.
Following the arrest, the Afghans were handed over to a reception facility or the youth welfare office. One of the men was returned to Poland, as it was discovered that he had entered Germany illegally. The Federal Police have initiated investigations for the smuggling of foreigners, illegal entry, and illegal stay.
The Federal Police Inspectorate Ebersbach was also involved in the arrest, as they have confirmed. This marks another instance of the authorities taking action against illegal immigration in Germany.
