New Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones Unveiled
Bose has announced the release of its second-generation QuietComfort Ultra headphones, aiming to compete with the Sony WH-1000XM6 and the rumored AirPods Max 2. The new headphones go on sale on October 2 for $449.
The new QuietComfort Ultra headphones feature a number of improvements over the original model. They come with a new algorithm for more precise adaptive noise cancellation and natural sound. One of the most notable additions is the new Cinema Mode, designed to enhance sound quality for non-music content like TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks. The Cinema Mode expands the soundstage while keeping dialogue crystal clear, an improvement on the original Ultra's immersive audio setting.
The new headphones also support USB-C audio for lossless audio at 16-bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz. They boast a longer battery life of 30 hours with noise cancellation enabled, or a maximum of 45 hours without it.
