The Circular Police Department Borken in Germany has stepped up traffic controls in the district, conducting speed checks at 16 locations over the past week. According to the latest reports, a total of 3327 vehicles were recorded, and 609 drivers were found to be speeding.

The exact identities of the speed offenders or the specific locations where they were caught have not been detailed in the available sources. What is known, however, is that the consequences for the speeding drivers are severe. They face driving bans, administrative offense proceedings, and warning fines totalling 500.

The traffic team plans to continue its measurements in the coming week, aiming to combat and prevent accidents. Some of the most serious speeding incidents occurred at the North Circle - inner city in Ahaus, where a car was caught speeding at 92 km/h on a parallel street. Outside the city, there was an incident with 84 km/h on the Dinxperloer Straße in Bocholt. Another serious incident occurred in Schöppingen, where a car was caught speeding at 113 km/h on the L 582, exceeding the maximum allowed speed of 70 km/h. There was also a serious incident in Gronau on the Losser Straße, where a car was caught speeding at 52 km/h.

Excessive speed and reckless driving continue to be main causes of accidents in the Circular Borken district, often leading to serious accident consequences for uninvolved road users.
