Boosting payouts for prominent film producers in Africa, elevating standards within the film industry

In a groundbreaking move, Circuits, a leading virtual cinema and digital entertainment platform in Africa, has introduced a unique monetisation model that rewards creators, protects intellectual property, and fuels reinvestment in African storytelling.

This model, which is relatively rare in Africa's streaming landscape, ensures that producers continue to benefit from the success of their films. Imade Bibowei-Osuobeni, the COO of Circuits, stated, "This model rewards creativity, protects intellectual property, and fuels reinvestment in African storytelling."

Circuits is committed to transparently monetizing content creators' work. Since June 2025, producers have had access to detailed sales analytics, providing them with the tools to validate sales and gain insights into their films' performance.

This move by Circuits marks a seminal shift in how African content creators are valued. Producers can now access their back-end data for sales validation and analytics, enabling them to make informed decisions about their content strategy.

Moreover, at least four Nollywood producers with content on Circuits' platform, including Kunle Afolayan, Mo Abudu, and Emem Isong, will be receiving additional payouts on top of their minimum guarantee and licensing fees. These additional earnings are based on the films' performance on the platform, and earnings will continue for as long as their films continue to generate revenue.

Circuits is focused on protecting creators' intellectual property. The platform boasts a unique content protection system, ensuring that creators' work is secure and their rights are protected.

In addition to providing payouts based on performance, Circuits also distributes African content globally, redefining industry standards and setting a precedent for how producers should be compensated in the digital age.

Considering the significant growth Circuits has achieved in just 8 months post-launch, the COO is excited about the enormous possibilities that lie ahead for the creative economy. Follow @CircuitStreams for updates.

This move by Circuits is a testament to its commitment to the African creative industry. By ensuring continuous returns for producers, Circuits is redefining industry standards and paving the way for a more sustainable and equitable streaming landscape in Africa.
