The Cultural House at Schacht Street 10, Unterbreizbach, is set to host the Intercultural Week 2025 from September 25 to 27, with a special focus on France. This event, organised by the SV Kali Unterbreizbach e.V., Department CultureTime, promises an exciting lineup of events for both adults and children.

On September 25, award-winning author Jean-Philippe Devise will captivate audiences with his scenic reading for adults. Devise, who is also a pianist, was a guest at the Unterbreizbach Culture Week for the first time in 2005. His reading will showcase his literary skills and be entertaining for both French and non-French speakers. The reading will take place from 19:00 to 21:00 and tickets can be purchased online at www.culturetime.eventbrite.com.

For the younger audience, Devise will conduct a bilingual reading for children on the same day from 16:00 to 17:00. The reading, under the motto "Le français, c'est facile!", aims to introduce young readers to the French language in an interactive and fun way.

The concert evening on September 27, 2025, is titled "Vive la Chanson!". The trio "Les Saperlipopettes" consisting of opera singer Erwan Tacher, singer-songwriter Mikael Fischman, and jazz double bassist Martin Gruet will present a program of French chansons, including classics and modern sounds. The concert takes place from 19:00 to 23:00.

The evening will be opened by musicians Christian Stuetz (accordion) and Andreas Knoepffler (guitar), who bridge the gap between German and French chanson traditions.

Throughout the event days, the biohof & hofmolkerei "hofgemachtes" from Friedewald will provide culinary delights.

Tickets for all events can be purchased online at www.culturetime.eventbrite.com. The Cultural House at 10 Schacht Street in Unterbreizbach is looking forward to welcoming you to the Intercultural Week 2025.
