Bolts Strengthens Driver Assistance with the Establishment of a Cape Town Service Centre

Ride-hailing giant Bolt has launched its second Driver Engagement Centre in Thornton, Cape Town. This expansion sets a new standard for driver support and engagement in the South African ride-hailing industry.

The new centre offers various training sessions designed to equip drivers with essential skills. These sessions cover customer service best practices, earnings optimization, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance tips. By addressing a critical need identified by drivers themselves, Bolt's Driver Engagement Centres help resolve immediate issues and foster long-term professional development for its driver-partners.

The Cape Town centre also serves as a Lost and Found point for items left in Bolt vehicles, providing additional assistance to both drivers and passengers. Simo Kalajdzic, Bolt's Senior Operations Manager, emphasized the company's commitment to driver success.

In August, during Women's Month, Bolt hosted its inaugural self-defence and safety training session for female drivers in Johannesburg. The company continually strives to enhance the driver experience and maximize earning potential.

Bolt's focus on safety, especially for female drivers, includes tailored support and training to address unique needs. The Driver Engagement Centre in Cape Town provides face-to-face assistance to Bolt drivers.

The company's investment in driver training aims to improve service quality and empower drivers with valuable skills. Bolt's efforts to provide tangible, on-the-ground support for its driver-partners foster a stronger sense of community and support within the Bolt driver network.

Bolt plans to expand this network of centres across South Africa, aiming to address driver concerns and challenges directly. The Senior Operations Manager at Bolt in South Africa is Milu Kipimo, who serves as the country manager for Bolt Business in South Africa.

Bolt's approach to driver support and engagement contributes to the overall improvement of its service in a competitive market. The new Driver Engagement Centre in Cape Town is a testament to Bolt's commitment to its driver-partners and its mission to lead the way in ride-hailing services in South Africa.
