St Helier is buzzing with excitement as a new public art installation named Bubbletecture has taken centre stage. Located at IFC2 on the Esplanade, these 8m-tall iridescent spheres will be on display until 14 September. The installation responds to sunlight and is paired with a bespoke soundtrack and lighting effects from 09:30 to 21:30 each day, making it a must-see spectacle for visitors.

Bubbletecture is open around the clock and free to the public, with security and support staff on site throughout the exhibition period. For those seeking more interactive experiences, visitors can take part in a diverse lineup of free cultural and wellbeing events each weekend in association with Bubbletecture. The full events guide for these associated events can be found here.

Meanwhile, music lovers are in for a treat with the Up-There music festival, previously known as Out-There, which has moved to the Royal Jersey Showground in Trinty. The festival will take place on Saturday 30 August from 15:30 to 23:00, and will feature headliners Clementine Douglas and TSHA. Islanders can book tickets for the Up-There music festival online.

If Caribbean and African music is more your style, mark your calendars for Sunday 31 August. A family fun day celebrating these genres will be held at Howard Davis Park from 14:00 to 22:00.

In a separate cultural event, an art installation called Bloom, featuring thousands of flower sculptures, is on display at Jersey Zoo's Les AugreΜ€s Manor's courtyard. The installation showcases six of Gerald Durrell's favourite flowers and represents the Jersey Zoo founder's legacy and the idea of one person's achievements flourishing. Entry to Bloom is free for Durrell members, but regular Jersey Zoo admissions apply for non-members. Bloom runs until the end of September.

With these exciting events and installations, St Helier is truly a cultural hub this summer. Don't miss out on the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant arts and music scene.
