In the world of fiction, characters and stories often intertwine in unexpected ways. Such is the case with Unute, the half-god, half-human muscle-bound fighter from the comic series "BRZRKR" (Berzerker), and Diana Ahuja, a character who starts as a colleague but becomes an adversary.

Meanwhile, in the realm of literature, a unique collaboration is unfolding. Keanu Reeves, renowned actor and creator of "BRZRKR", has teamed up with successful British SF and fantasy author China Miéville to create a novel titled "The Book of Elsewhere". This gory action spectacle follows the adventures of a pre-neolithic warrior, Unute, who is 80,000 years old.

"The Book of Elsewhere" is not a political tale like Miéville's "The Last Days of New Paris" (2019). Instead, it delves into the internal logic of fantastic action literature, incorporating elements of cultural periods that are not well-known or documented. The novel plays out on multiple time levels, taking place in various historical periods, including present-day USA, ancient Asia, and crumbling kingdoms of late medieval times.

Archaeologist Caldwell and biologist Diana Ahuja attempt to uncover the mystery of Unute's longevity in the novel. Unute, depicted as a mix between Conan the Barbarian and Hulk, engages in aggressive outbursts and displays supernatural powers.

Unute and his team are stationed in a top-secret research facility near Portland, where they come under attack. The identity of the attackers remains unknown, though an ancient cult attempting to eliminate the warrior is a possibility.

"The Book of Elsewhere" is translated from English and published by Gutkind-Verlag, with 525 pages and a price of 24 €. It's a must-read for fans of Keanu Reeves, China Miéville, and action-packed fantasies.

Interestingly, Keanu Reeves considers China Miéville one of his favourite authors, a fact that undoubtedly contributed to their successful collaboration. The novel is a testament to their shared passion for compelling narratives and captivating characters.

Unute's philosophical conversations with Diana Ahuja add depth to the story, making "The Book of Elsewhere" a captivating read that combines action, adventure, and introspection. Whether you're a fan of the comic series or new to the world of BRZRKR, this novel promises an unforgettable journey.
