A fire that started in the pastures of Cantueso Street in El Patriarca, Cordoba, spread quickly due to the proximity of numerous homes and a peri-urban park. The blaze came dangerously close to residential blocks in the Poniente Norte area, causing the evacuation of around 500 people and 110 homes and facilities.

The Infoca, the local firefighting service, deployed both aerial and land resources to combat the fire. Among the resources dispatched were a helicopter, two water-bombing aircraft, three fire-fighting groups, and a fire engine. Local Police, National Police, and Firefighters were also dispatched to the scene.

The fire was first reported by neighbours who noticed a column of smoke in the El Patriarca and Cantueso Street area at approximately 16:20 hours. The Infoca gave the all-clear at 18:25 hours, and resources were withdrawn due to the fire being under control.
