In a series of political developments, the 16-day Voter Adhikaar (Rights) Yatra against the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) process has put the BJP on the defensive, strengthening the Indian bloc unity and intensifying the political battle in the coming months.

The Yatra, led by various parties belonging to the INDIA alliance, drew such massive crowds that it rattled the BJP. Analysts believe this has left the BJP particularly uneasy about SIR, as argued by former AN Sinha Institute, Patna director D.M. Diwakar.

The BJP, however, denies any impact of the Yatra. Yet, the party held a meeting to discuss the public response to it and opposition attacks over SIR. The meeting at Bihar BJP leader Dilip Jaiswal's residence also focused on the feedback from the Yatra-crowd turnout, public response, the possible impact, and whether it influenced voters.

In response to the Yatra's success, the BJP has announced the organization of worker conferences in every assembly constituency. These conferences will conclude by September 25, and campaign committees will be formed to intensify electioneering.

The BJP and JDU called a Bihar bandh over derogatory remarks made during Rahul Gandhi's Darbhanga rally about PM Narendra Modi and his mother. The Bihar bandh was also called by the NDA over a PM Modi abuse video, with Tejashwi Yadav, a political leader, criticizing the BJP for it. Tejashwi Yadav accused the BJP of double standards, stating that the bandh was emotional politics to distract from real issues.

Meanwhile, the BJP underestimated the magnitude of the SIR issue and didn't anticipate opposition pressure or Congress's detailed data work, according to D.M. Diwakar. This has led to a power struggle within the NDA, with Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi demanding 20 seats, and Upendra Kushwaha, another NDA ally, hinting at the need for his party to be given respectable seats.

Chirag Paswan, a prominent political figure, has made repeated attacks on Nitish Kumar and stated his intention to contest all seats in Bihar. The RJD's chief spokesperson, Shakti Singh Yadav, said the Delhi meeting shows the NDA's nervousness after the Yatra's success.

The Voter Adhikaar (Rights) Yatra has not only strengthened the Indian bloc unity but also benefited the INDIA bloc, according to analysts. As the political battle in Bihar intensifies, the coming months promise to be an interesting phase in Bihar's political landscape.
