BJP defended by Shah amid Congress' critiques on PM Modi, with Shah claiming that such criticism bolsters the party's strength
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reiterated his criticism of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Guwahati. Shah accused Gandhi of hurling abuses at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother during the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar.
Shah claimed that the more you abuse Modi, the bigger the lotus flower (BJP symbol) will bloom. He asserted that every abusive word against Modi only strengthens the BJP. The Home Minister also expressed regret over the abusive language used by the Congress towards Prime Minister Modi.
This is not the first time Shah has criticised Gandhi for his alleged derogatory remarks. In the past, he has accused Gandhi of starting politics of negativity and hatred without any real issues. Shah alleged that the Congress is engaging in politics that leads to downfall.
Meanwhile, some people from a stage in Bihar's Darbhanga allegedly abused the Prime Minister on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi has faced demands to apologise for these remarks, which sparked nationwide protests in 2025. However, the Congress leader has not commented on the issue.
It is important to note that the Union Home Minister did not comment on a hunger strike in Mumbai by a person named Jarange, who is calling it the 'final fight' for OBC status.
Shah also took the opportunity to praise Modi and his family. He stated that Modi's mother lived a humble life and raised her children with values. Today, Modi's son (Narendra Modi) is respected across the world, according to Shah.
In conclusion, Amit Shah launched a frontal attack on Rahul Gandhi in Guwahati, accusing him of abusing the Prime Minister and his late mother. He asserted that such abusive language only strengthens the BJP and urged Gandhi to apologise for his remarks.
