Biysk kicks off summer with a citywide festival of art and culture

Biysk kicks off summer with a citywide festival of art and culture

Biysk is set to celebrate the start of June with a packed schedule of cultural events. From children's festivals to art contests and live performances, venues across the city have planned activities for all ages on June 1. The day kicks off early at the City Palace of Culture with a chalk art contest at 10:00 AM. Later, at 5:00 PM, the same venue will crown the winner of the 'Princess of Biysk 2025' competition.

At 11:00 AM, Molodyozhny Square will welcome families to 'Land of Childhood', followed by the 'Bold Artists' chalk art contest at noon. Sorokino Cultural Center Square will host its own 'Land of Childhood' event at 1:00 PM, with the chalk contest starting an hour later. The Archbishop's Courtyard will launch the 'Reading City' festival at 1:30 PM. Meanwhile, Petrovsky Boulevard will buzz with 'Summer Gets a 5+' from midday until 4:00 PM. The Chuysky Tract Museum will also join the celebrations with 'Hooray for Summer Break!' at 11:00 AM. In the evening, the Biysk Drama Theater will host 'An Open Talk on Theater, Film, and Life' at 6:00 PM. At the same time, Rodina Cultural Center will feature a concert by Lydia and Irina Muzaleva. Earlier, at 4:00 PM, the Central Children's Library named after S. V. Mikhalkov will mark its 105th anniversary.

June 1 in Biysk offers a mix of creative, educational, and entertainment events. With activities spread throughout the day, residents and visitors will have plenty of options to enjoy the start of summer.
