Bike storage structures at the entry gate are being disassembled.
The city is gearing up for a festival on Friday, September 12th, and Saturday, September 13th. However, this event will temporarily impact bike parking in the city.
From Monday, September 8th, at 6 AM, the bike racks will be dismantled to make way for the festival. During this period, which lasts until the end of October, no new bicycles will be allowed in the racks.
Bicycle owners are asked to remove their bikes from the racks by latest Sunday evening. Those who do so before October will need to find alternative storage solutions. Any bicycles left in the racks after October, when the racks are reinstalled, can be retrieved from the Lost and Found office at City Hall 2.
Notices will be posted in advance at the bike racks regarding the festival's dismantling and the subsequent unavailability of the racks. The racks will not be reinstalled until October.
The organizers of the upcoming festival are yet to be explicitly named, but given the date match, likely events include the "Lieber Tot" festival in Berlin and the "Vibrancy Open Air" in Stuttgart.
Festival attendees are advised to plan their transportation accordingly, as the bike racks will not be available during the festival on September 12th and 13th.
Any bicycles left in the racks after Sunday evening can be retrieved from the Lost and Found office at City Hall 2. The Lost and Found office will continue to hold any bicycles left in the racks after Sunday evening during the period when the racks are unavailable.
The dismantling of the festival on September 8th will mark the beginning of the period when the bike racks are unavailable. The festival's occurrence on September 12th and 13th does not affect the period when the bike racks will be unavailable, which starts on September 8th and ends in October.
