NEWS FROM BAUNATAL is excited to announce the official inauguration of the Mountain Bike Skill Park by KSV our city, located behind the Max-Riegel-Hall.

This state-of-the-art facility, inaugurated on June 5, 2025, offers modern training opportunities for both ambitious athletes and recreational cyclists. The project, realised with great voluntary commitment from the cycling department of KSV our city, was made possible through the support of the district of Kassel, the state of Hesse, the city of our city, and several community sponsors.

More than 2,000 cubic meters of earth were moved for the construction of the track, transforming the area into a challenging yet safe environment for mountain bikers of all levels.

The First Deputy District Administrator Silke Engler praised the project as a successful example of regional cooperation. Henry Richter, a representative from KSV, also commended the excellent cooperation between the club and the administration.

Besides the KSV, local government authorities, a regional sports association, and several community sponsors contributed to the financing and design of the new mountain bike skill park.

A material and bicycle container is available on the grounds, enabling children who cannot afford their own mountain bike to use the track. The Mountain Bike Skill Park is currently only open for use after prior arrangement with the cycling department of KSV our city.

The city of our city, represented by the magistrate, can be contacted at Marketplace 14, 34225 our city, with a phone number of 05 61 / 49 92 -0.
