Bicyclist Slightly Harmed After Disregarding Red Signal in Delmenhorst City

In the heart of Delmenhorst, Germany, a traffic accident occurred on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 6:25 PM. The incident took place at the intersection of Am Fuhrenkamp and Syker Straße.

According to the Police Inspectorate Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch, a 57-year-old car driver and a 14-year-old cyclist from Delmenhorst were involved in the accident. The cyclist was crossing Am Fuhrenkamp in the opposite direction on a green light when the accident occurred.

The cyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to the local hospital for treatment. The driver, who was driving his car on Am Fuhrenkamp towards Syker Straße, failed to notice the red traffic light at the intersection. As a result, the collision occurred.

Both the bicycle and the car sustained minor damage in the accident. The Police Inspectorate Delmenhorst/Oldenburg/Land/Wesermarsch is conducting an investigation into the incident.
