BetMGM Speedway merges racing thrills with high-stakes casino gameplay

BetMGM has unveiled a new racing-themed casino game called BetMGM Speedway, developed in partnership with Richard Childress Racing (RCR). The game brings motorsport excitement to online gambling, featuring high-stakes gameplay and recognisable RCR branding.

Available now in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, players can access it through BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online.

The game's design draws heavily from Richard Childress Racing's iconic visuals. Players will spot familiar colour schemes and car numbers, specifically No. 8 (associated with Kyle Busch) and No. 3 (linked to Austin Dillon). Each round allows up to two simultaneous wagers, with options to choose between two digitally rendered RCR race cars.

*BetMGM Speedway* offers a 94% return-to-player (RTP) rate and high volatility, meaning wins may be less frequent but potentially substantial. The maximum payout reaches 10,000 times the original bet, adding to the game's appeal for risk-taking players. This release builds on a long-standing collaboration between BetMGM and RCR, which began in 2021. Since then, 12 US states—including Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky—have licensed BetMGM Speedway or similar sports-themed casino games. Mike Verlander, President of Richard Childress Racing, praised the partnership, calling BetMGM a leader in sports betting and online gaming. Matt Prevost, BetMGM's Chief Revenue Officer, added that the game successfully captures the thrill of racing in a casino format.

BetMGM Speedway is now live in three states, with potential for further expansion. The game's blend of racing aesthetics and high-risk mechanics aims to attract both motorsport fans and casino players. Licensing in 12 states suggests growing acceptance of sports-themed online gambling offerings.
