Bengali New Year Festival: A Magnificent Event Showcasing the Essence and Vibrancy of Bengali Culture and Tradition
Get ready for an immersive and emotional experience as Poila Boithak Season 5, the cultural festival celebrating the Bengali New Year, returns on April 20, 2025, at the Nazrul Mancha Auditorium.
Red FM, known for its ethos of inclusion and diversity, is elated and blessed to continue the Poila Boithak legacy with a fifth season. This year, the festival promises phenomenal performances, moving voices, and a deep emotional connection.

The festival offers an immersive experience of nostalgia, with live performances by some of the most prominent names in Bengali music. Ananya and the Bohemian Baul will reimagine Baul music with a modern twist, while Somlata & The Aces and Fakira, a folk-fusion-rock band, will also take the stage. Notable additions include Shubha Mudgal, Anupam Roy, and the band Cactus.
In addition to the music, Poila Boithak Season 5 will feature live painting on greeting cards and a larger-than-life Halkhata Installation. Traditional Bengali sweets will be offered to guests, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.
