Belgium endures another 6-0 defeat under Rudi Garcia's management

Belgium's national football team put on a spectacular show against Kazakhstan on Sunday evening, securing a comprehensive 6-0 victory. The win was part of a week where the Red Devils scored an impressive 12 goals across their matches.

The offensive play was more varied than it had been in a long time, with numerous players contributing to the team's dominant performance. Nicolas Raskin scored a goal in the 56th minute, bringing impact and defensive balance to the match, while Jeremy Doku kept his place in the stadium of his former club and scored the opening goal of the game in the 42nd minute. Lively winger Malick Fofana replaced Doku in the 63rd minute, scoring Belgium's fifth goal.

Thomas Meunier and Kevin de Bruyne also got on the scoresheet, with Meunier scoring in the 87th minute and de Bruyne netting two goals in the 42nd and 84th minutes. Nine different players scored for Belgium in the match, highlighting the team's depth and quality.

Rudi Garcia made four changes from the win against Liechtenstein on Thursday, with Timothy Castagne supporting Trossard or Doku on the wing, drawing defenders into depth to open up the middle. The central axis (Debast-Theate) and defense were solid throughout the match, with Thibaut Courtois making only one save in the 79th minute.

The win moves Belgium to second place in Group J with 10 points, just one point behind leaders Denmark. The next match for the Red Devils is a highly anticipated Premier League Manchester derby against Manchester City on September 14, 2025, at 17:30.

Charles De Ketelaere was involved in play, facing the goal, with efficiency, providing a decisive backheel to Kevin De Bruyne for the first goal and his pressing leading to Belgium's second goal by Jeremy Doku. De Bruyne, who played for Napoli and performed well in the match against Kazakhstan, was a constant threat throughout the game.

Overall, it was a dominant display from Belgium, who will be hoping to carry this form into their upcoming matches, including the Manchester derby against Manchester City.
