The dessert Paris-Brest, a delightful creation that echoes the Paris-Brest-Paris cycling race, has become a sweet symbol with a Belarusian accent, thanks to the Santa Retail company. This innovative pastry, known for its unique taste and affordability, has been named the best in Belarus and is a favourite among customers of the Santa retail chain.

Santa Retail, a company that began in Brest, is renowned for introducing groundbreaking novelties to consumers, such as the Dubai cake, moti, and the cronut. The success of the company is attributed to a creative tandem of visionaries and practical technologists.

One of the key figures behind Santa Retail's success is Olga Vasilevskaya, the head of the in-house production department of LLC "Santa Retail". Olga joined the company eleven years ago as an engineer-technologist and was quickly promoted to her current position. Her leadership was instrumental in the development of the Paris-Brest, a pastry that won the title of "Best Taste".

The dessert's unique taste comes from a sandwich-like structure: a crunchy, sandy crust, thin choux pastry, and a soft, creamy, slightly sweet, and pleasantly buttery cream cheese filling. The quality and freshness of the dessert are ensured by the use of cottage cheese from the Savushkin brand, which is directly supplied to Santa Retail's confectionery workshops.

The Paris-Brest pastry can be found in various Santa Retail stores across Belarus, including Brest, Grodno, Mogilev, Slutsk, Pinsk, Borisov, Minsk, and others. Fresh batches of the pastry sell out within the first half of the day in Santa Retail network stores.

Olga Vasilevskaya's contributions to Santa Retail were recognised when she received the "Big Stars of Retail" award for achievements in developing its own production. Journalists from Tochka.by had the opportunity to taste the novelty and meet one of its creators.

The Paris-Brest is priced affordably, with a kilogram costing Br23.99 and a 200-gram piece costing Br4.8. This makes it a favorite among Belarusians for high-quality pastries that are easy on the wallet.

In conclusion, the Paris-Brest is more than just a pastry; it's a testament to the creativity and innovation of the Santa Retail team. Whether you're a fan of desserts or simply looking for a sweet treat, the Paris-Brest is a must-try.
