Bechtle Consolidates Activities in Westfalen-Niederrhein and Neu-Ulm

In a bid to address declining revenues in Germany for nearly two years, Bechtle, a leading IT solution provider, has announced consolidation plans. This consolidation, separate from the consolidation of the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit, involves the merging of five system houses into a single unit.

The newly formed "Bechtle Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit, effective from August 1, 2025, includes the locations of Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Münster, Meschede, and Siegen. The combined turnover of this unit is 450 million euros, and it will be led by managing directors Frank Wrede, Klaus Pattai, and Holger R. Müller.

The customer-focused sales and service organization will remain unchanged in the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit. The locations within the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit will be merged into a GmbH, with Meschede and Düsseldorf serving as the primary locations.

This is the third instance of Bechtle combining multiple locations into larger units, following the Munich and Regensburg branches, and the Bechtle System House Bonn. The consolidation of the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit is part of Bechtle's trend of streamlining operations and enhancing regional technology and service competence.

In addition to the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" consolidation, Bechtle is also consolidating several companies at one location in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria. A new building is being constructed in Neu-Ulm for the consolidated companies, which will not be part of the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit. The employees of the Ulm system house and Bechtle PLM Germany are expected to move into the new building by 2026.

The goal of these consolidations is to further expand the regional technology and service competence. Bechtle announced this consolidation at the beginning of 2023, and the "Westfalen-Niederrhein" unit is already listed on the Bechtle location map. However, the specific persons leading the newly founded Bechtle GmbH "Westfalen-Niederrhein" have not been identified in the available sources.

As Bechtle continues its consolidation efforts, it aims to create a more efficient and effective structure, enabling it to better serve its customers and adapt to the ever-changing IT landscape.
