Bayern's women's football team seized the Supercup in Munich once more this year, mirroring their victory fromlast year. Their dominating play, not unexpected for the double champions, enabled them to overcome their rivals in the competition.

Bayern triumphs once more, securing their first title with the return of Oberdorf as the title-winner.

In a thrilling Supercup match, FC Bayern Munich emerged victorious against VfL Wolfsburg with a final score of 4:2. The match was played in front of 16,933 fans at the BBBank Wildpark in Karlsruhe.

The opening goal for Bayern Munich came in the 18th minute, courtesy of Magdalena Eriksson. Just five minutes later, Jovana Damnjanovic extended their lead, making it 2:0 in favour of the double-winning team.

VfL Wolfsburg fought back in the second half, with Vivien Endemann scoring in the 58th minute. However, Bayern Munich responded swiftly, as Lea Schüller found the back of the net in the 72nd minute.

The decisive moment of the match came in the 78th minute when Georgia Stanway scored a penalty, securing Bayern's victory. Lena Oberdorf, who made her comeback in a competitive game for FC Bayern after a 410-day absence due to a cruciate ligament injury, was responsible for the penalty conceded to Bayern. Lineth Beerensteyn, a player for VfL Wolfsburg, was the unfortunate victim of the foul.

The new coach of FC Bayern Munich women's team, José Barcala, who stood on the bench for the first time during the Supercup victory against VfL Wolfsburg, brought Lena Oberdorf into the game in the 62nd minute.

In the closing stages of the game, Janina Minge scored a consolation penalty for VfL Wolfsburg in the 88th minute. Despite the late goal, it was not enough to prevent Bayern Munich from securing the Supercup title.

The victory marks a successful start for José Barcala's tenure as coach of FC Bayern Munich, with the opening match opponents of HSV set to be FC Bayern Munich. The team will look to continue their winning streak in their upcoming matches.
