Battersea's Four Thieves pub reopens as Β£1m adult playground after bold revamp
A well-known Battersea pub has closed its doors for a major Β£1 million transformation. The Four Thieves, tucked just off Lavender Hill in South London, will reopen as an adult-only entertainment venue with a fresh design and new attractions.
The pub announced its refurbishment plans on social media in August 2025. Once a hub for live music, pub quizzes, and comedy nights, it will now take on a bolder identity. The interior will feature a sleek dark blue bar, spacious booths, and a high-energy arcade with games like Mario Kart and House of the Dead.
The revamped venue will also expand its food offerings. Guests can expect brunch options, traditional Sunday roasts, and a wider menu. Alongside gaming, the space will host themed parties, live performances, and cabaret shows. Capacity will increase to 500 people, positioning it as a large-scale adult playground. After months of work, the new-look Four Thieves will welcome visitors on November 1, 2025.
The refurbishment marks a shift from a classic pub to a multi-use entertainment space. With gaming, live events, and an updated menu, the venue aims to draw crowds looking for more than just a drink. The Β£1 million investment suggests a focus on becoming a standout destination in South London.
